JON DRIES
Managing Director
Jon joined Parallel49 Equity in 2006 and is based in Lake Forest. He is a key member of the firm’s investment transaction team.
Jon is a board member of Questco. He served as a board member of MedTorque and Kinetrex Energy prior to its sale to Kinder Morgan, Inc. and as a board member of CPI Card Group from 2007 – 2015, prior to its initial public offering.
Prior to joining Parallel49 Equity, Jon was an investment banker at Robert W. Baird & Co., where he was involved in a variety of mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. Jon has also worked in corporate development and strategy at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a provider of scientific products and services, and at National City Corporation in its Equity Sponsor and Investment Banking groups.
A native of Kentucky, Jon obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Dayton, where he graduated with high honors, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Jon is the past President of the Chicago Association of Private Equity Executives (Capex).
